This Summer welcomes back the return of Underage Festival, where 13-17 (formally 14-18) year olds can run riot (just kidding) in Victoria Park, London, whilst listening to some of hottest new acts. Underage festival which takes place over one day has seven stages with over 50 bands playing. The event has previously showcased acts such as Florence + the Machine, Dizzee Rascal and Tinie Tempah to name a few. So who will be crowned Underage’s new heroes? This years lineup boasts Bombay Bicycle Club, Devlin, Labrinth, parody favourites The Midnight Beast and many more.
Bombay Bicycle Club return after three years after winning over most people’s hearts with their flawless indie sound that will no doubt trying to soundtrack your summer. Also fighting to be your soundtrack to Summer will be the quirky trio Is Tropical, who released their debut album last month that will have you dancing in no time.
If the other stages are too ‘weak’ and you’re finding yourself not headbanging enough, head over to Red Bull’s Bedroom Jam stage as it brags some of the best upcoming heavier acts such as Autumn in Disguise, Blitz Kids and The Ocean Between Us.
Waving the flag for new female singers is Florrie, who currently releases all her music for free via her website, so there’s no reason for you not to be singing along and Spark who is an eighteen year old upcoming female vocalist from East London, who’s supported Marina & The Diamonds and cites her influences from Spice Girls to Shaggy.
