We’ve recently decided that each week we’re going to feature a ‘Song of the week’ which will be the song which the author has taken a liking to during the week. As I came up with the idea i figured that I’d go first  :
Arctic Monkeys – Leave Before The Lights Come On
‘Leave Before The Lights Come On’ is the third single by Sheffield Band Arctic Monkeys, although the song was not included on their 2006 debut album Whatever People Say I Am, That’s What I’m Not it was still released with with two covers from the band ‘Put Your Dukes Up John’ and ‘Baby I’m Yours’ by The Little Flames and Barbara Lewis.
Personally I think it’s one of my favourite Arctic Monkey songs, it seems to represent the transition between the first album and Favourite Worst Nightmare and although I first felt a little on edge about it the solo near the end easily won me over.
