Another cheeky stream for you readers today. Don’t say we never give you anything.
Today it’s a band from the best city in the U.K. (that’s my opinion and it’s right.) Brighton. My-Hi have just released their new single which you’ll be able to stream below titled Cat’s Play.
Made up of Dan Veal on vocals and rhythm guitar, Sam Caschere on lead guitar, Joe Barnes on bass and Chris Cartwright on drums, this single is a certified banger. It’s strong, it sounds like a hit to me, but I don’t know if I’m just completely unaware at what the youths are listening to today or not. From the very start it’s punching you in the face with heavy riffs and strained vocals akin to obvious inspirations such as Nirvana, Soundgarden, pulling in influences from other areas of the genre such as Queens of the Stone Age.
I must say I’m looking forward to their debut EP Perspectives they’ve scheduled for release in December and after speaking to the band we are aware they have desires to put together a mini tour in November/December time to coincide with the release so keep an eye out on dates as this Brighton bunch are ones to watch.
Check back with us in the future for more on My-Hi as it’s released.
