BRING ME THE HORZION UNVEIL DARK VIDEO FOR ‘TEARDROPS’
Frontman OLI SYKES has one again taken the reigns on directing the bands music video.
For TEARDROPS, SYKES draws on his personal relationship with depression channelling it into the visual representation of him drowning.
This involved him spending a full day filming in an underwater tank, and this is juxtaposed with Sykes’ lonely bedsit world, a combination of the mundane and highly symbolic. It’s a horror, where the Sykes’s saviours turn out to be his fellow bandmembers.
“It is my favourite song off the record,” says Sykes. “I’m so excited to get this single out, it feels like a classic Bring Me The Horizon tune but without it feeling like anything we’ve done before. I feel like Teardrops is some of the best work we’ve ever done, musically and lyrically as whole.”
TEARDROPS is taken off the upcoming EP, POST HUMAN: SURVIVAL HORROR.
