Kicking off the USA’s Super Bowl Sunday in style, MILEY CYRUS performed at the pre-show TikTok Tailgate, playing a selection of hits and covers.
MILEY, donned in a sparkly cheerleading outfit with WTF across the top, kicked off her set with TONI BASIL’s HEY MICKEY; the first of many covers. Her collaboration with DUA LIPA, PRISONER, came next, paving the way for her first duet of the evening, NIGHT CRAWLING featuring BILLY IDOL. IDOL also stayed on to perform WHITE WEDDING.
Coming in the middle of act one, were covers of BLONDIE classic HEART OF GLASS and industrial rockers NINE INCH NAILS’ HEAD LIKE A HOLE, which MILEY originally covered as ASHLEY O in the tv show, BLACK MIRROR. She closed the set with EDGE OF MIDNIGHT, her mashup of PLASTIC HEARTS leading single MIDNIGHT SKY and STEVIE NICKS EDGE OF SEVENTEEN.
Opening act two, and in a new outfit, MILEY brought out JOAN JETT to debut BAD KARMA, as well as covering BAD REPUTATION and I HATE MYSELF FOR LOVING YOU.
Finishing the set with originals, including PARTY IN THE USA, MILEY played an emotional encore of WRECKING BALL and THE CLIMB.
