HALSEY REVEALS ARTWORK FOR ‘IF I CAN’T HAVE LOVE, I WANT POWER’

HALSEY has revealed the artwork for her fourth album, IF I CAN’T HAVE LOVE I WANT POWER, set to be released 27th August.

In the 13 and a half minute video, HALSEY wanders through New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art, stopping to gaze at pictures of religious icons, before arriving at a giant canvas featuring her topless and holding a child.

In an Instagram post, Halsey wrote about the new album: “This album is a concept album about the joys and horrors of pregnancy and childbirth,” Halsey wrote on Instagram Wednesday. “It was very important to me that the cover art conveyed the sentiment of my journey over the past few months. The dichotomy of the Madonna and the Whore. The idea that me as a sexual being and my body as a vessel and gift to my child are two concepts that can co-exist peacefully and powerfully.” You can read her full statement below:

The album is set to be released on 27th August, and NINE INCH NAILS’ TRENT REZNOR and ATTICUS ROSE have produced it.
